Martin PickeI have seen photo's of the experimental aircrft. How far Beoing is with the R & D I don't know, but the flying wing has been out since the 1940's. The design its self creates the least amount of parasitic drag. I think it will be a few years off yet not only because of the R & D but also parking at the gates maybe an issue due to wing span.

The concept implies new airport terminals (and probably taxiways....). Most probably the aircraft would be parked parallel to the terminal building, and not perpendicular. Yes it will take a while before this interesting concept flies! But I believe it will.
